More More More, Money Money Money!

Are you getting disheartened with no traffic to your articles and only a handful of revenue generating clicks a month? well heres what I have to say... Dont give up, seriously your time will come and thats all it is TIME! It takes a while for search engines to grab hold of your articles and to send traffic your way so dont feel bad about it, some of my articles have hardly received any views but the point is theyre there for somebody to read one day. If your hubs are competing with the big topics of the net such as makin money online etc then dont be surprised if your article is taking a while to get some traffic, in the meantime just write more high quality content and just keep on writing, it will eventually pay off.

However you can do things that will help increase your chances of receiving more traffic and i intend on showing you how in this hub. I'll break you into it slowly at first and will update the hub as much as I can every day until its finished. Are you ready for some readers? well I hope so or your in the wrong place.

What to do with your article

When your writing an article you should try and make it around 800 words long this will pick up the search engines attention and will send some visitors your way, but of course this wont happen straight away you must give it some time. Then you should think about what you would search for in the search engines to find your article, for example if you have written an article about buying cow bells you might want to add the phrase cheap cow bells into the article a few times and tag the article with this phrase. When you are tagging you should also add in the odd misspell because believe it or not there are millions of them each month. Remember good content will be rewarded especially if its between 800 - 1500 words.

Now that you have some good content its time to get people to read it so lets take it to where people like to read. Submit your content to places like stumbleupon, Digg and reddit, people at these sites will read and rate your content and maybe even link to it if your lucky. When people create links to your articles you may see yourself with a constant stream of traffic pouring in each month. The articles will forever be on these social bookmarking sites and are usually classified under specific topics so people will find them when they are searching for some specific information.

I say it again... Comment!

Commenting is a great way of getting people to read your articles, usually if you take an interest in what other people are writing they'll  take an interest in what your writing and I say this because im always curious about what my readers write about so I go and check them out. This is also another form of linking because when you comment a link is left to your site or blog or article or whatever but what im trying to say is that you'll forever be there and theres a chance people will click on your profile if you have left an informative comment.

A lot of articles can be boring to look at, come on who wants to look at around 2000 words? I think nobody does thats why you need to spice things up with a good picture, why not even make it funny, things like this make your readers want to come back or will see your name and relate it with a previous article of yours they have read. The picture can be vital it may be worth a thousand words, also remember to tag your picture because this may even turn up on google or on any of the other search engines.

The Title

The title of the article can be crucial, its the readers first impression and it needs to be good. With this humor could again come into the picture but usually the more unbelievable the title (to a certain extent) the more views it will attract. Try and keep it short and sweet aswell people are put off with long tongue twisting titles.

Views on Hubpages

Getting views on hubpages to your hubs could lead you on your way to success, this is because the more views your hubs receive the higher your hubscore will be. The higher your hubscore the more likely it is to appear on the search engines so think of it as the best of the bunch get picked., a big part of this is what topic or niche your trying to compete in, the more competitive it is the less likely you are to be on page one of yahoo or google. If you pick a topic that is not too competitive then you are more likely to succeed in getting traffic from the search engines. Once you have chosen your topic you should use keywords that are searched for on search engines in your article but make sure to start off with the least searched for first, to give yourself more of a chance.

Adding the sense

Once your getting traffic to your articles you should make sure that they are monetized with google adsense. Google adsense runs advertisements on your articles that are keyword related, every time one of your readers clicks on one of the advertisements you will earn some money. These clicks could earn you a substantial amount of money and one of the best ways of getting clicks it by joining hubpages which provides your articles with more search engine coverage because of its mass amount of information. Google adsense could earn you thousands each month but you have to make sure that you put the hard work in by writing quality content, which im sure you can. Everybody can write about something.
